10 days in Montenegro June 2019: Day 3 from Zabljak to Kolasin

It can take less than 2 hours to travel from Zabljak to Kolasin.

But please don’t hurry, this way passes throw deepest in Europe Tara River Canyon in Durmitor National Park. The canyon stretch within Montenegro is protected as a part of Durmitor National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Don’t miss Tara Bridge the 365-metre-long bridge has five arches with the largest span is 116 metres. The roadway stands 172 metres above the Tara River.

10 days in Montenegro June 2019: Day 2 from Pluzine to Zabljak

The mountain road from Pluzine to Zabljak

The Durmitor National Park will be one of the most incredible unexpected delights of your trip around in Montenegro. 

The road wound its way up Mount Sedlo to the Sedlo Pass, which at 1907m above sea level, is the highest paved pass in Montenegro. There was a little parking lot at the top so we pulled over for a better look. Looking towards Zabljak, the mountains loomed high on each side of rugged the valley with Valovito Jezero glacial lake glittering below. 

Breathtaking Durmitor National Park was formed by glaciers and is traversed by rivers and underground streams. Along the Tara river canyon, which has the deepest gorges in Europe, the dense pine forests are interspersed with clear lakes and harbour a wide range of endemic flora.

Plužine is a town in northwestern Montenegro. According to the 2011 census, it has a population of 1,341. Plužine is the centre of Plužine Municipality and unofficial centre of Piva region, named after Piva River. The town is close to the border crossing with Bosnia and Herzegovina for the town of Gacko. Wikipedia

Arrieta Restaurante Amanecer - Our Best Fish Place on Lanzarotte

Lanzarote is a Spanish island, the easternmost of the autonomous Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. It is located approximately 125 kilometres (78 miles) off the coast of Africa and 1,000 kilometres (621 miles) from the Iberian Peninsula. Covering 845.94 square kilometres (326.62 square miles), Lanzarote is the fourth-largest of the islands in the archipelago. With 141,938 inhabitants, it is the third-most populous Canary Island, after Tenerife and Gran Canaria. In the centre-west of the island is Timanfaya National Park, one of its main attractions. The capital is Arrecife.

During our Recent Visit to Lanzarote Island we preferred only fish restaurants.

Restaurante Amanecer in Arrieta was the best we tried, good fresh fish and not expensive.

Sorrento

Sorrento (Neapolitan: Surriento) is a town and comune in Campania, southern Italy, with some 16,500 inhabitants. It is a popular tourist destination which can be reached easily from Naples and Pompeii, as it lies at the south-eastern end of the Circumvesuviana rail line. The town overlooks the Bay of Naples as the key place of the Sorrentine Peninsula, and many viewpoints allow sight of Naples itself, Vesuvius, and the Isle of Capri.

The Amalfi Drive (connecting Sorrento and Amalfi) is a narrow road that threads along the high cliffs above the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Ferry boats and hydrofoils provide services to Naples, Amalfi, Positano, Capri and Ischia. Sorrento's sea cliffs and luxury hotels have attracted notable people, including Enrico Caruso and Luciano Pavarotti.

Sorrento is famous for the production of limoncello, a digestif made from lemon rinds, alcohol, water and sugar. Other agricultural production includes citrus fruit, wine, nuts and olives. Wood craftsmanship is also developed.

Praiano

Praiano is a picturesque common between Positano and Conca dei Marini summer residence of the Doges of Amalfi at the time of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi, Considered the heart of the Amalfi coast.
The houses of Praiano develop at the base of Mount Tre Pizzi Emerged and stretching down to the beach of Marina di Praia. Nestled between rocky ridges this natural port, used since ancient Paganism (ancient name of Praiano), is monitored from above by Torre a Mare, a medieval lookout tower.
Immersed in the fauna typical of the Mediterranean between the picturesque cliffs That stand out in the sea, in Additions to the scenic beauty and monumental, Praiano offers excellent tourist services and catering.
